About me
My name is Margarita. I am a Greek filmmaker and photographer currently based in the Netherlands.
With a background in literature and theatre (BA in English and Creative Studies, UK), film and photography (Image & Sound at the Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague), and digital media (MA from the Utrecht School of the Arts), I am drawn to postmodern narratives and work that resists the predictable: stories that leave space for complexity, contradiction, and surprise.
I work on both self-initiated and commissioned projects, from short fiction and documentary to branded content, visual campaigns, and promotional material. I am especially drawn to projects that invite nuance, play, and a layered point of view.
My practice blends disciplines, genres, and materials. I explore the space between reality and imagination, mixing moving image and still photography, typography and voiceover, digital tools and handmade elements, always in search of new ways to tell a story. Layering textures, emotional tones, timelines, and meanings is central to my work.
Whether you are launching a project, building a brand, developing an idea, or creating greater visibility for a project that deserves to be seen, I bring a perceptive and hands-on approach to visual storytelling — helping you define your message, sharpen your vision, and translate it into images that leave a lasting impression.
