Los Melos - Perla Fina

A vibrant mix of salsa energy and Dutch urban grit, Perla Fina is the central music video in a series promoting the salsa band Los Melos, which also included two live recordings shared ahead of the album launch.

Nique Quentin (the creative force behind the band and producer of the record) brought a team of three dancers and a clear vision: to merge salsa with the raw industrial atmosphere of Amsterdam’s NDSM terrain. I worked with a DOP to translate his concept on set, directing the dancers and shaping the piece’s visual rhythm in the edit.

The video was shot across multiple locations and features tightly choreographed sequences woven together through a series of match cuts. The fast-paced, playful edit follows the rhythm of the track, using spatial transitions and layered movement to create visual momentum and energy. Footage of the vocal performance, filmed separately in Caracas by an independent crew, was integrated into the final cut.
