Motel Mozaique Sessions - Nhow Hotel
Filmed in Rotterdam for Motel Mozaïque, this short triptych weaves together walking interviews and live music sessions to create an intimate portrait of each artist.
I developed the concept and directed, filmed, and edited the work, placing both the artists and the city at its core. Each episode opens with a short, documentary-style interview as the artist walks through Rotterdam, sharing thoughts on their creative process and the stories behind their songs. These walking scenes lead into a live session, filmed in hotel Nhow overlooking the city skyline.
The interviews were shot in a handheld, observational style, while the performances were captured in multicam setups with a small image and sound crew. The series was created specifically for the festival’s social media channels, designed to introduce performing artists to audiences in a more personal, documentary way. The result is a hybrid format: part music video, part city portrait, part artist reflection. Featuring: Anna St. Louis, Skinny Pelembe and Robin Kester.
